Website Traffic but No Leads? 9 Conversion Fixes

More traffic will not help if the site does not convert. Nine practical changes to turn visitors into calls, bookings and enquiries.

If your website gets visitors but no enquiries, the problem is almost always clarity, trust or friction, not traffic. Visitors decide within seconds whether you are the right choice and whether contacting you is easy. Fixing those two things usually lifts enquiries without spending anything more on ads.

How do you know you have a conversion problem?

Check your analytics. If people visit your key pages but few submit a form, call or click WhatsApp, you have a conversion problem. Measure the conversion rate: enquiries divided by visitors. Then watch real sessions with a tool such as Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar to see where people hesitate.

1. Is it obvious what you do within five seconds?

Your headline should say what you offer, for whom and where: "Websites and digital marketing for clinics and labs in Islamabad." Clever slogans lose people. Clear statements win.

2. Is there one clear call to action?

Pick the one action you want, such as "Book a free call," and make it visible at the top, in the middle and at the end of each page. A button repeated three times beats five competing options.

3. Is your form too long?

Every extra field costs you leads. Ask for name, email or phone, and one question about the goal. You can collect more details on the call.

4. Does the site load fast on mobile?

Most visitors use phones. A page that takes more than a few seconds to load loses people before they read a word. Check Core Web Vitals and compress images. See our guide to INP and Core Web Vitals.

5. Do you show proof?

Add real client names, case studies with numbers, reviews, certifications and photos of your team. Visitors trust evidence, not adjectives. Place proof close to the call to action.

6. Are the offer and price clear enough?

People leave when they cannot tell what happens next or roughly what it costs. Show a typical price range or "from" price, what is included and the next step, for example "Free 45-minute strategy call, reply within one business day."

7. Is it easy to contact you the way people prefer?

In Pakistan that often means WhatsApp and phone. Add click-to-call and click-to-chat buttons, show your office hours and address, and keep them visible on mobile.

8. Does each page match the traffic source?

If an ad promises "free quote for website development," the landing page should repeat that promise, not drop visitors on a generic home page. A focused landing page with one goal usually converts better than a general page.

9. Do you follow up fast?

Enquiries lose value every hour you wait. Send an instant confirmation, reply within one business day at most, and track every lead to the sale. Sometimes the website works and the follow-up fails.

What should you test first?

Change one thing at a time so you know what worked. Start with the headline, the call to action and the form. Run each test long enough to collect a meaningful number of visits, and keep the winner.

How do you track results?

Set up Google Analytics 4 events for form submissions, calls and WhatsApp clicks, and review them monthly. Compare against your starting conversion rate, not against other businesses.
